KOLTER
Johannes “KOLTER” is one of the fastest-rising talents from the ever-innovative German music scene. His original take on house music can be heard on labels such as his own Hoove, Berg Audio, and Rutilance. The Cologne-based producer is one of the leading artists in his genre, paving the way to the future with his refreshing sound.
In 2016, KOLTER started the popular Hoove event brand with his good friend Thalo Santana to push forward thinking house music in his techno-dominated hometown. Several cutting-edge artists in the scene have played at the Cologne- and Berlin-based event, including Youandewan, Nick Beringer and Prunk & Chris Stussy. In 2020, the Hoove brand expanded with its vinyl-only imprint. HOOVE01 went No. 1 on Decks and featured the two founders.
KOLTER’s sound is influenced by funk and soul, garage, and deep house, and everything in between that is both underground and raw. His DJ sets vary from breakbeat to house & electro, maintaining the typical raw 90s textures that keep the body moving.
