Calvin Harris has officially entered the Guinness World Records books after performing a DJ set for an estimated 1.6 million people in São Paulo, Brazil.

Guinness World Records has certified Harris's February 8, 2026 performance as the largest attendance for a DJ set by a single artist. The certification formally establishes the São Paulo performance as the benchmark for a solo DJ audience.

Harris performed from a carnival float during a massive pre-Carnival street celebration in central São Paulo. According to Guinness World Records, approximately 1.6 million people attended the performance along Rua da Consolação, near Avenida Paulista.

Wearing a Brazilian football jersey with “Calvinho” across the back, Harris played a set built around some of the biggest records of his career, including “One Kiss,” “I Need Your Love,” “This Is What You Came For” and “We Found Love.”

The sheer size of the crowd transformed the performance into something closer to a city-scale event than a conventional concert or festival set. Guinness said the gathering became one massive street party, while the turnout ultimately forced the closure of Rua da Consolação.
