RÜFÜS DU SOL Makes Touring History With $158M World Tour

RÜFÜS DU SOL has set a new benchmark for electronic music touring, with the group's Inhale/Exhale World Tour grossing more than $158 million and selling 1.7 million tickets across 115 shows worldwide.
According to Billboard Boxscore figures reported by DJ Mag, the tour became the first dance-music tour to surpass $100 million in revenue and the first to sell more than one million tickets.
The milestone places the Australian trio among a select group of electronic artists capable of sustaining arena and stadium-scale demand across multiple international markets, while illustrating how far electronic music has expanded beyond its traditional club and festival foundations.
A Global Tour on Stadium Scale
The Inhale/Exhale World Tour ultimately encompassed 115 performances worldwide. The band's tour summary documented a run spanning 20 countries, with performances across stadiums, arenas and major international festivals.
North America represented the tour's largest commercial leg. Boxscore figures reported by DJ Mag show that 31 North American dates generated nearly $72 million while selling approximately 693,000 tickets.
The scale of the production was matched by a rotating group of special guests. Live Nation's tour announcement included Glass Beams, Neil Frances, Overmono, Sofia Kourtesis and SG Lewis among the supporting artists appearing across various dates.
A Landmark Night at the Rose Bowl
One of the tour's defining moments came in Southern California, where RÜFÜS DU SOL headlined the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena in August 2025. The performance drew roughly 60,000 fans and represented the group's largest headline show at the time.
Ahead of the performance, the Los Angeles Times described the Rose Bowl date as the peak of the band's Los Angeles journey, with close to 60,000 fans expected for what was then its biggest headline performance.
For electronic music, the significance extends beyond a single stadium show. Large-scale festival audiences have long been part of the genre, but selling tens of thousands of tickets to a standalone headline performance demonstrates a different level of artist-driven demand.
From Clubs to Stadiums
The world tour supported RÜFÜS DU SOL's fifth studio album, Inhale / Exhale. The album was subsequently nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 68th Grammy Awards, according to the Recording Academy.
The tour's $158 million gross is particularly notable because sustained arena and stadium touring requires more than festival visibility. It depends on an artist's ability to generate substantial ticket demand independently across multiple cities, countries and venue sizes over an extended period.
For RÜFÜS DU SOL, that demand translated into 1.7 million tickets across 115 performances and a new commercial high-water mark for electronic touring.

Electronic music has long thrived in clubs, warehouses and festivals. The success of the Inhale/Exhale World Tour demonstrates that a select group of electronic acts can now operate successfully within the same arena and stadium touring infrastructure traditionally associated with major rock and pop artists.
With more than $158 million in revenue, 1.7 million tickets sold and 115 shows worldwide, RÜFÜS DU SOL has established a new benchmark for the commercial scale of a headline electronic music tour.
The question now is not whether electronic artists can reach stadium scale, but how many will be able to sustain it.
