Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 gallery shows some of the fun the GCFam had on the Norwegian Pearl. Destined for Cabo San Lucas, the ocean liner was diverted to Ensenada due to an impending hurricane. Groove Cruise Cabo 2018

Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 finished its historical thirtieth voyage in mid-October. Dubbed a ‘logistical marvel,’ the team at Whet Travel faced a hurricane, which threatened the Norwegian Pearl and her passengers. Facing impending doom, they made the critical decision to avoid Cabo and certain death. Choosing life and happiness, the ocean liner steered her way to Ensenada, a picturesque destination in the Baja California peninsula of Mexico. Duke Dumont treated the GCFam to an impromptu rave at Papas & Beer, which sent them into a frenzy.

Despite the trials and tribulations, many aboard said Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 was their favorite experience on the ocean. The unexpected change in location turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The non-profit Whet Foundation seized the opportunity to provide the community’s children with necessary school supplies. The team of volunteers, the Whet Foundation, and Kid Wiseman created a street art project.

The unofficial captain of the cruise, Green Velvet, gave two memorable performances. His first was an immersive set by the pool. His second was a closing set of classics. Green Velvet also wore several costumes as he partied with attendees at the eight parties. Guests were treated to Spain’s tech-house legendary duo of Chus & Ceballos as well.

Additional opportunities to hang out with artists included a Kung Fu class with the one and only Laidback Luke, a ping-pong tournament with Shiba San, and much more. Other Groove Cruise highlights included sets from fan favorites like Benny Benassi, MK, Cosmic Gate, and Felix Cartal.

You can see some of the fun people had by checking out the gallery page.

Groove Cruise Miami 2019

Next up for the Whet Travel team is Groove Cruise Miami 2019, which will take place January 10th-14th. The event will mark the 15th anniversary of Groove Cruise and will feature performances from Kaskade, Aly & Fila, Hot Since 82, Markus Schulz, MK, Simon Patterson, and many more stars of the electronic music world.

Oasis Festival Morocco 2018

Oasis Festival Morocco 2018 occurs this September 14 to 16. On the outskirts of Marrakech surrounded by the stunning Atlas Mountains, experience the best the underground has to offer. Phase Three lineup includes heavyweights Ben Klock, Damian Lazarus, and Stephan Bodzin (Live) joining the ranks for Oasis’ fourth edition. Adding to an already impressive list of the ‘Who’s Who’ of house and techno including Carl Cox, Avalon Emerson, DJ Koze, Honey Dijon, Jessy Lanza, Mount Kimbie, Peggy Gou, and The Black Madonna, Oasis Festival is set to be a stand-out on the destination music festival calendar this summer.

Chief amongst these latest names is Ben Klock, the techno heavyweight with ties to the world-famous Berghain, Ostgut Ton imprint, and his own influential Klockworks label. Also announced is desert house shaman Damian Lazarus who runs the Crosstown Rebels empire, Bestival founder and encyclopedia of all musical forms, Rob Da Bank, and fans can look forward to a unique live set from longtime techno favorite Stephan Bodzin. An additional live set will also come from George Fitzgerald, whose excellent latest album ‘All That Must Be’ features collaborations with Bonobo and Lil Silva.

Next to these big names are innovative young stars like DJ Boring who will go back to back with Austrian talent Demuja, and Rhythm Section and Eglo’s deep house, broken beat specialist Henry Wu back-to-back with Moroccan funk, house and jazz connoisseur Polyswitch.

Germany’s razor-sharp lo-fi house producer DJ Slyngshot also lines up with others like Bali-based Dea Barandana who is frequently championed by Gilles Peterson. Add in JDH & Dave P who hail from New York and Philadelphia and run the FIXED parties, plus Casablanca label Casa Voyager, and you have a diverse yet coherent lineup of passionate selectors gracing the Oasis decks.

Mixing an authentic cultural experience with a world-class soundtrack, traditional local customs, and friendly hosts, Oasis Festival caters to those passionate about adventurous travel and the quality sounds of the underground. Taking place at the magical and luxurious Fellah Hotel at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, the Oasis Festival grounds are ripe with tropical gardens, palm trees, cacti, and sun-soaked swimming pools all backed by breathtaking vistas. Bringing something fresh to the region and offering a chance to party under the North African stars and warm summer rays, there are—for the first time this year—three stages at Oasis Festival, and each one offers an immersive experience like no other.

Phase Three tickets are still available for $198.00 and Phase Four tickets are soon to be released.

For ten years, the celebration was held in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in January over ten days and nights featuring over 400 underground house and techno artists and drawing an annual crowd of 70,000+ attendees.

In September 2017, The BPM Festival made its European debut in two beautiful coastal towns Portimao and Lagoa in the Algarve region of Portugal over four days and nights. The gathering is a must for any music lover with a taste for quality underground dance music.

As The BPM Festival moves into its 11th year, the festival is excited to bring their signature event YA’AH MUUL to Warung Beach Club Brazil in January 2018. They debut in the Middle East with a three-month residency at BASE Nightclub in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates starting in February 2018. In September 2018, The BPM Festival will once again return to Portugal’s sunny Algarve coast. As the globally renowned festival expands to new regions, The BPM Festival continues to cater to discerning lovers of dance music from around the world.
